There is a place for you to pray at PCA! The vision and goal of the Prayer Ministry is to lead parents to pray intentionally for our school, its students, faculty, and families. The Prayer Ministry operates under the direction of the Campus Ministry Coordinator, Lainie Montgomery, and provides 4 different types of opportunities for parents and grandparents to pray. Please review these and join us to pray this year!
1. PRAY WITH GRADE LEVEL PRAYER GROUPS
Gather once each month with other moms and dads in your child’s grade to pray for the students, teachers, families, and concerns specific to that grade. Click here to see when your child’s grade meets to pray.
LOWER SCHOOL (Grades PK-4)
MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 5-8)
UPPER SCHOOL (Grades 9-12)
2. PRAY THE WALL OF PRAYER
This year the Wall of Prayer will be all electronic. The second or third week of school, you will receive an email with your Wall of Prayer student assignments(s) for the year. At Back to School Night, you will receive the Wall of Prayer Scripture Bookmark. Or to download the scripture, click here.
Wall Of Prayer Scripture:
31 Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Kids by Bob Hostetler
Use this tool to pray for your Wall of Prayer student assignment(s) on a daily basis.There are 31 scriptures, one for each day of the month. Then simply repeat this each month throughout the year. Please keep your student assignment(s) confidential.This is a ministry of prayer only. Please do not contact your student or family. Even though we pray at different times of the day and in different places, as we pray daily the same scripture, we are praying in one accord and that is powerful and builds up our Wall of Prayer.
3. PRAY WITH YOUR GRADE LEVEL PRAYER CHAIN
Join the Prayer Chain for your child or children’s grades. Simply email the appropriate Grade Level Prayer Coordinator listed below and request to be added to the Prayer Chain. Thereafter, you will receive email prayer requests as they arise for that grade and for any school-wide requests. Your only responsibility is to pray and to keep all prayer requests confidential. It is a privilege to pray for our children and families!
4. PRAY WITH MOMS IN TOUCH
Pray with Moms in Touch led by Cheryl Burns. Moms in Touch meets every Wednesday that school is in session from 12:00 - 1:00 PM in the Sports and Fitness Center, room S-204. For questions or more information, please contact cburns@prestonwoodchristian.org .
